Amna Abo Zuhair

Amna Abo Zuhair is a photographer and storyteller based in Jerash Refugee Camp in Jordan. Her work focuses on building cultural bridges based on love, understanding and respect. She graduated from The Narrative Projects’ 2019 Women’s Documentary Photo Workshop with the aim of showing the world what life is like for refugees inside their communities, and the barriers they must face and overcome to live a “normal” existence. Amna believes that one picture can change the way people view history.

Amna is also a computer programmer and a project manager for the language exchange program Banaat Connect, where she works to build the independence and self-confidence of women in her community through skill development in the form of English language learning and computer literacy.
